As with everything around the world today, our Smith Valley Rotary Club is being heavily impacted past the Novel Coronavirus. We take canceled lodge meetings, our Easter Egg Chase and Board Meetings for at present and are evaluating our plans going forrard on a week to week footing.
Planning for our future events including our May Spring Barbeque and Memorial Solar day cleanup, Baronial Lamb Feed, and Fundays events volition become forwards though flexibility may be required.
Things will return to normal and our life routines will begin again equally soon every bit they may. Our Rotary Gild will remain vibrant. Allow's hold our families, our friends and neighbors and our struggling local business' shut in our thoughts and help whenever nosotros tin.

2019 ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP Accolade WINNERS

2018 Smith Valley Kindergarteners Christmas Party
The Rotary Order of Smith Valley held our 2018 Kindergarteners Christmas Political party. The party includes craft time for the kids, burgers and chips, and a visit from Santa himself, of course!
ROTARY CLUB OF SMITH VALLEY
50TH ANNUAL FUNDAYS EVENT
Our 50th Annual Fundays Event was a dandy success again this twelvemonth. Saturday was a little wet in spots for the tractor pull but that didn't ho-hum the participants at all. This years event included something for everyone on Sun opening with our Grange kids Pancake Breakfast, the afternoon Steak Barbecue, Equestrian trial and Poker Run, Domestic dog Agility, Pine Needlers Quilt Show, numerous arts and crafts and information booths, Trap Shoot, Martin's Show and Smoothen Auto Evidence, and a slap-up Horse Drawn Vehicle Display with participants in dress from the era of their vehicle.
THE ROTARY CLUB OF SMITH VALLEY'Due south 50TH ANNUAL LAMB FEED
Our Smith Valley Rotary Society held information technology'southward 50th annual Lamb Feed outcome this week. Information technology was a great success and very well attended.
A rub and a marinade and lots of help with skewering and lots of lamb to BBQ
A well attended issue. The raffle is under way.
As with all of our events, our Grange Kids are such an integral part. Cheers for the assistance and energy you lot bring to all of our events!

On April 29th The Rotary Social club of Smith Valley held their 2018 Spring Brunch including our Desert Auction/Raffle, Silent Auction, and door prize.

The Rotary Club of Smith Valley donated a large Red Maple tree to the 2nd course class to found on the school grounds.

KIDS MURAL WALL AT SMITH VALLEY SCHOOL
The mural wall grooming for the kids play area was completed on April 14th and 15th. Special thanks to Louie, Steve, Sandy and Mike! A special shout out to Steve for organizing and offering a lot of hard piece of work and Mike who saved us all by making his pressure washer bachelor at the very final minute!!
Smith Valley Rotary is eagerly anticipating the final landscape by our kids.
SMITH VALLEY ROTARY Lodge SUPPORTS THE YERINGTON FOOD KITCHEN
The members of the Smith Valley Rotary Society were given an opportunity through a matching grant from their District to support the food bank. Coin'southward became available through our Covid grant process producing $yard between Commune 5190 and funds from Smith Valley. Members of the club added an additional $900 out of their own generosity.
It was gratifying to see donations go directly from coin to food for those that demand it in ane day.

NEVADA COPPER VISITS OUR ROTARY Society
Tim Dyer, Vice President of External and Authorities Relations, and David Swisher, Senior Vice President of Operations for Nevada Copper were kind plenty to come in and speak with us. They went over current operations every bit well every bit where they see farther growth at their Yerington operation. The growth in operations will result in new jobs for the Yerington surface area in general and will be a boon to our local businesses.
